Now, for the final part of the ‘future in the past’ quiz. So far, we have looked at the usage of would + verb and was/were going to + verb. We can use both of these forms for different reasons. We can use would + verb for a voluntary action, promise or to make a prediction, while we use was/were going to + verb for a plan or a prediction.
